Comparison of realism in different era.

Realism is precise details of a scene.
Realism is representable. It is detail and not fantastic.

Because of changes of  times, I found that technology can make changes on the realism of a objects. From abstract to real. The level of realism is different in different era. So I make a comparison of character between different era.

Maybe this kind of art is real to them that time.

Compare to the era before, this kind of painting is real than the wall painting.

As you can see the character of cave painting in the past (estimate almost 2000 years ago) is abstract then the character of other era. The second painting is from 16th-17th centuries and the character is more representable. You could easily recognize that the painting is about human figure painting. The painting itself has more colour compare to the cave painting, include the proportion of the figure, the texture and layer of the colour to represent the painting. The last picture I believe is from the 21th Centuries, which is digital era. Digital camera used to capture more realistic images. The figure inside is super detail and it looks real.

    1. Cause when we was a kid, we really thought is what we draw is real in that time. Because what we draw is actually very basic things but not detail. We had simplify it. Haha!
